Spain winger Juan Mata is looking forward to returning to former club Valencia when Chelsea head to the Mestalla for Champions League action.
The Blues are 6/4 with bookmaker to register a second win in two games in Group E, with Mata keen to meet old friends at Los Che, where he spent four years before heading to England a month ago.
Versatile forward Mata has made a solid start to his career at Stamford Bridge and scored in the 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen two weeks ago, while he has also set up a number of chances for fellow Blues stars.
He is set to be handed a roving role by coach Andre Villas-Boas in Valencia, saying: “The manager wants me to be involved in passes and setting up goals. He also wants me to score as well.
“It all depends on the game. I might start on the wing, but I can move further inside. It depends how the game pans out. It is going to be a very special and emotional match for me.”
