Newcastle United’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season has earned praise from many quarters, including Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Magpies are yet to taste defeat in 11 top-flight outings, are currently third in the table and are 14/1 with bookmaker to finish in the top four this season.
Ferguson said of his Newcastle counterpart Alan Pardew: “He’s done a great job. He has galvanised them, he’s got the team fighting for each other. They are fighting for every ball and have a really good attitude.
“When you have got a Newcastle team doing that, with their great support behind them, you know you are going to be in for a difficult game.”
Newcastle’s fine run of form will be tested to the full in their next three games, when they face league leaders Manchester City, champions Manchester United and Chelsea.
