It has emerged that QPR – 6/5 to be relegated with bookmaker – boss Neil Warnock is keen to bring West Ham midfielder Scott Parker to Loftus Road, after Tony Fernandes took over the west London club.
Malaysian businessman Fernandes recently took ownership at Loftus Road and Warnock is keen to see new funds injected by the new boss, with Parker a definite target.
Warnock, who is aware of how tough QPR’s Premier League challenge is after their opening-day 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Bolton, said: “It’s so exciting. It’s going to be hard work as we need to find the right players and do our business in a short space of time but this will give us a fighting chance.”
It is believed that the Hammers – 10/11 to be promoted from the Championship with bookmaker – midfielder is on £67,000-a-week at Upton Park, but Warnock hopes he can lure the player back to the Premier League.
