Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp says he has “not even thought about” succeeding Fabio Capello in the England hotseat.
Redknapp is the clear 1/3 favourite with bookmaker to be England’s next permanent boss.
Capello resigned from the England job after a meeting with Football Association chairman David Bernstein on Wednesday following comments the Italian made about the FA’s decision to strip John Terry of the England captaincy.
When asked if he would like the England job, Redknapp insisted: “I’ve not even thought about it. I’ve got a job to do. I’ve got a big game on Saturday for Tottenham. Tottenham is my focus.”
That game is against Newcastle at White Hart Lane. Spurs are 4/9 to win the match.
