Manchester United have switched their focus to Sunday’s derby against Manchester City after a midweek Champions League success.
Two Wayne Rooney penalties secured a 2-0 win in Romania against Otelul Galati, with United now 2/5 with bookmaker to top Group C after their first win of the European campaign.
However, United’s attention is already on the visit of City to Old Trafford on Sunday, a derby which has added spice with City and United first and second in the Premier League table.
United’s veteran boss Sir Alex Ferguson said: “On Sunday it’s top of the league and second-top and it really builds up into a fantastic prospect for everyone. I am looking forward to that.”
The Red Devils are 11/10 to beat City at Old Trafford and take over at the top, with United 6/5 to go on and retain their Premier League title.
