Wayne Rooney will return to Manchester United’s starting line-up for their Champions League clash against Romanian side Otelul Galati, a match Sir Alex Ferguson’s team are 13/2 with bookmaker to win 3-0.
Rooney was named as a substitute for Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Liverpool as Ferguson believed the former Everton star was not in the right frame of mind after being handed a three-match suspension by UEFA following his red card in England’s Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro.
United are currently third in Group C after drawing their first two matches – against Benfica and FC Basel – but are 7/1 to win Tuesday’s match 2-1.
Nemanja Vidic is set to play for the first time in more than two months so Rio Ferdinand has been left out of the squad along with injured duo Tom Cleverley and Rafael.
Dimitar Berbatov is included while Phil Jones has recovered from a knock he picked up on Saturday.
