Rafael van der Vaart has rubbished talk he wants to leave Tottenham and says his only focus is the upcoming season Premier League with Spurs.
The north London club, who are 15/8 to finish in the top four with bookmaker, looked like having a fight on their hands to keep one of their star men after Hamburg made their interest known.
The rumours had indicated van der Vaart was keen on a move back to his old club in Germany after Spurs failed to qualify for the Champions League and Harry Redknapp left White Hart Lane.
However, the Dutch playmaker has now rubbished talk of wanting to leave and stressed he is enjoying his time with Tottenham.
It’s kind of incredible how my name has been mentioned across Europe in the last few days,” Van der Vaart told BILD. “But I just want to say that this is just gossip talking.
“I am about to play for Tottenham Hotspur in the new season. I have had two good campaigns in England and I am enjoying it.”
