New Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has talked up his side’s chances of dethroning European champions Barcelona this season.
The Blues, who are 9/1 with bookmaker to win the Champions League for the first time in their history, have made a positive start to the new season under Villas-Boas, who guided FC Porto to Europa League glory last term.
That success has given the Portuguese the belief that Barca (15/8) can be prevented from winning a fourth Champions League in seven years. He said: “Barcelona are the reference.
“They can beat any team in the world, but so could Chelsea and so could Real Madrid. If I didn’t believe that, I’d quit the game.
“I’m not going into the game with a losing mentality.”
