Chelsea head coach Andre Villas-Boas has once again dismissed reports suggesting he is close to being axed.
Sunday’s home defeat to Liverpool was the Blues’ third loss in their last six games but they are 5/4 with bookmaker to beat Bayer Leverkusen in Germany on Wednesday evening and seal a place in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Chelsea are 13/2 to win the game 1-0 but Villas-Boas said of the ongoing rumours about his future: “When results like this happen, the head of the manager is called for execution. I’m not worried by the comments.
“I want to get my team back to winning ways and we’ll try and do that against Leverkusen.”
