Terry Connor has been named as the new manager of Wolves until the end of the season, with the Molineux outfit 4/6 with bookmaker to be relegated.
Connor steps up from his position of assistant manager to former boss Mick McCarthy, who was sacked following the 5-1 derby reverse at home to West Brom two weeks ago.
Connor has 13 games to try and drag Wolves away from the relegation places, with his side currently inside the bottom three on goal difference ahead of a weekend trip to high-flying Newcastle United.
Leading scorer Steven Fletcher is a doubt for the game due to a virus which has prevented him from training since Monday, but Sebastien Bassong (hamstring) and Michael Kightly (back) are both fit for selection.
Wolves have won just once in their last 11 Premier League games, edging a 2-1 victory at fellow strugglers Queens Park Rangers at the beginning of February.
