Relegation-threatened Wolves will appeal against the red card Nenad Milijas was handed in the 75th-minute of Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Arsenal.
Mick McCarthy was furious with the decision to send the 28-year-old Serbia international midfielder off for a foul on Gunners midfielder Mikel Arteta.
The draw leaves Wolves 7/4 with bookmaker to be relegated this season, while rock-bottom Blackburn can be backed at 4/9 to go down.
A livid McCarthy said after the game: “I can’t for the life of me see why he’s been sent off.
“What concerns me is we’re being targeted as this dirty team but Milijas hasn’t got a bad bone in his body. He isn’t built like that. We’ll appeal it and I hope the referee will be magnanimous enough to rescind it.”
