The fourteenth finals of the UEFA European Football Championship will be held in Poland and in Ukraine between 8 June and 1 July 2012. For the third time the right to organize the tournament was given to the two countries.
Sixteen teams divided into four groups will compete in eight stadiums for the final triumph. Cities in which the matches will be held in Poland – Gdańsk, Poznań, Warsaw and Wrocław – and in Ukraine – Donetsk, Lviv, Kharkiv and Kiev. Twelve of the sixteen finalists participated in the previous tournament, Euro 2008, Ukraine as the only one in the group will debut in the Championship.
On 2 December, 2011 in Kiev was the last draw for the groups which will participate in the finals. Two best teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals. All meetings will be broadcast live to over two hundred countries around the world. This is the last Championship in which sixteen teams will participate. In 2016, their number will increase to twenty-four. We present the teams that will play on the Ukrainian and Polish stadiums.
