Andy Murray set up a US Open quarter-final clash against Marin Cilic of Croatia after thrashing the big-serving Canadian Milos Raonic in straight sets.
The Scot had little trouble seeing off his 21-year-old opponent, who beat Murray in the Barcelona Open in April, 6-4 6-4 6-2.
Murray is 4/6 with bookmaker to beat Cilic in three sets and 3/1 to go on and win the tournament, which would be the first Grand Slam success of his career.
Third seed Murray said after beating Raonic: “Milos has a huge game. I got lucky a couple of times but hit my passing shots very well. I had only played him one time before and you start to see things after a few games. I was just trying to react as quickly as possible.”
