Andy Murray remains on course to win the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami after setting up a quarter-final clash with Janko Tipsarevic.
The world number four, 2/9 with bookmaker to beat Tipsarevic and 11/2 to win the Wimbledon title later this year, secured his place in the last eight with a straight-sets victory over Gilles Simon.
Murray eased past Frenchman Simon 6-3 6-4, after which he said: “I felt fine from the start of the match.
“Probably the first game helped. Even though it was like 17, 18 minutes, it was probably a good thing after not playing for a few days.”
